In the second edition of this quarterly newsletter, we set out some examples of the achievements in ensuring legal rights through our district-based legal aid services, follow-up of High Court directives in public interest matters, udpates regarding the Human Rights Defenders’ Justice Forum, and finally, an update on amendments to current laws and various events organised by BLAST.
To ensure client confidentiality and security, we have used pseudonyms for all case studies, except where a client has specifically confirmed that they wish to disclose their details.   
We hope that this newsletter will provide an insight into BLAST’s functions and its work in our current context.

ব্লাস্ট তার এপ্রিল-জুন ২০১২ -এর কার্যক্রম নিয়ে ত্রৈমাসিক প্রকাশনা "আইন বার্তা" -এর দ্বিতীয় সংখ্যায় বিভিন্ন জেলা পর্যায়ে আইন সহায়তা প্রদান, হাইকোর্টের রায়ের ফলোআপ, ব্লাস্টের ন্যায়বিচার ফোরাম, প্রচলিত আইনের সংস্কার বিষয়ক আলাপ ও ব্লাস্টের বিভিন্ন আয়োজন ফুটিয়ে তুলেছে।   

উল্লেখ্য যে, ব্লাস্টের সুবিধাভোগীদের নিরাপত্তা ও গোপণীয়তা রৰার্থে অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রেই ছদ্মনাম ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে এমনকি প্রকৃত ছবি ব্যবহারেও সর্তকতা অবলম্বন করা হয়েছে।  

আমরা আশা করি, আমাদের এ চেষ্টা ও কাজ পাঠককে ব্লাস্টের কর্মকান্ড ও বর্তমান সময়ে বাংলাদেশের সমাজ ব্যবস্থা সম্পর্কে একটি ধারণা দিবে।

We are delighted to start the year by publishing our quarterly Ain Barta (Law Bulletin) again.

The newsletter sets out a brief picture of BLAST’s work on legal protection of human rights in and outside the court sin the past three months.

In this edition, we have focused on educational institutions – highlighting cases of disability-based discrimination in schools, corporal punishment in schools and madrasas, and the charging of excessive admission fees in schools. We’ve also included an interview of a young lawyer, Adv Shapan Chowkider, who is fighting for the rights of persons with disabilities to get equal opportunities to enter public and judicial service.

ব্লাস্টের পক্ষ  থেকে সবাইকে শুভ নববর্ষ বাংলা ১৪১৯ সালের শুভেচ্ছা। অনেকদিন পর পুনরায় ব্লাস্ট তার কার্যক্রমের উপর ভিত্তি করে 'আইন বার্তা' নামে এই ত্রৈমাসিক প্রকাশনা প্রকাশ করতে যাচ্ছে। এ সংখ্যায় ব্লাস্ট একটি মানবাধিকার সংগঠন হিসেবে, মানবাধিকার সংরৰণের জন্য, আদালত প্রাঙ্গনে এবং আদালত প্রাঙ্গনের বাইরে যে কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করছে তারই একটি সংৰিপ্ত চিত্র তুলে ধরার প্রয়াস করেছে। 
আমরা আইন বার্তার এ সংখ্যায় শিশু অধিকার, শিৰার অধিকার ও প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তিদের অধিকার রক্ষাক্ষেত্রে ব্লাস্টের সম্পৃক্ততাকে সন্নিবেশিত করার চেষ্টা করেছি। এ
