BLAST, Faridpur Unit NGO Meeting:
On 14/09/2011, at 5pm, BLAST’s Faridpur Unit held an NGO networking meeting at the Shonak (TIB) office. About 30 representatives of 20 NGOs participated there. They included the NGO Forum, AVA, FPAB, TI-B, SDA, BFF, Bangladesh Mohila Porishod, ADD and others. The meeting was facilitated by the Unit Coordinator, Sipra Goswami. Participants committed to provide organizational support to BLAST’s activities. The majority of representatives felt the BLAST should increase its communications and outreach, possibly with assistance from Union Parishads. The also suggested that BLAST should increase its NGO networking and activities aimed at increasing public awareness.
